Department of Art & Culture Invites Applications for Grant-in-Aid (GIA) 2026-27

Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 18: The Department of Art & Culture, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, invites applications from registered cultural organizations based in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for release of financial assistance in the form of Grant-in-Aid (GIA) for the financial year 2026–27.

The assistance will be extended in accordance with the “Andaman and Nicobar Islands Rules for Grant-in-Aid to Local Cultural Organizations” rules dated 03.09.2018. Grant-in-Aid of ₹25,000/- will be extended to each eligible organization.

To qualify, cultural organizations must i) Have a registered office in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands; ii) Be actively engaged in the promotion of art and culture, national integration, and communal harmony; iii) Operational in these fields for a minimum period of one year.

Interested organizations must submit their applications in the prescribed format, along with all required supporting documents. Complete applications should be submitted to: The Director, Art & Culture Department, Cellular Jail Complex, Andaman & Nicobar Administration. The last date for submission is 15th September 2026.
