Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 20: The Department of Home Science, JNRM, in association with NSS Unit-I, observed Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2026 from September 9 to 19, 2026, with a series of activities aimed at promoting awareness about nutrition and healthy dietary practices among students and the rural community.
The celebrations included a Slogan Writing Competition, Walkathon, Quiz Competition, Poster Making Competition and an awareness programme at Anganwadi Centre, Ward No. 5. Students of the Department of Home Science presented a Nukkad Natak on “Motapa – Sehat Ka Dushman” and “Malnutrition”, highlighting the importance of balanced nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices.
The valedictory programme was held today, in which Dr. Pearl Devdas, Principal, JNRM, as the chief guest administered pledge on ‘Poshan Abhiyan 2026’ to the gathering.
