
Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 20: The State Level Science Seminar (BITM) for school students of Andaman and Nicobar Islands was organized by the Deputy Director Education (Sci.) at the Conference Hall of Shiksha Sadan, Sri Vijaya Puram today. The topic of the seminar was ‘Indian Energy Basket 2047: Prospects and Challenges’ and was open to students from Classes VIII to X.
A total of six students participated in the event, representing all three districts of the Islands. The participating schools included Navy Children School, PM SHRI GMSSS Hutbay, GSS Keralapuram, VKZPV, Diglipur, PM SHRI GSSS Vijay Nagar & GSSS Malacca. Shri S Suresh Kumar, State Project Officer (SS), Shiksha Sadan was the chief guest.
Each participant delivered a presentation on the topic, followed by an interactive Question-and-Answer session. After rigorous evaluation, Kumar Siddhant Nambiar of Class IX from Navy Children School, Minnie Bay was declared the winner, while Kumar Abhinav Nair of Class X from Govt. Sec. School, Keralapuram was adjudged the runner-up. Kumar Siddhant Nambiar will now represent the A&N Islands at the National Level Science Seminar, to be held on 30th Oct., 2026 at National Science Centre, New Delhi.
