Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 20: The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS), G.B. Pant Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram, has informed the general public that patients can avail themselves of the Online OPD Appointment Facility through the Online Registration System (ORS) Portal of the Government of India. Initially, 10 online appointment slots will be allocated for each department.
The Online Registration System (ORS) is a Digital India initiative and forms part of the digital healthcare services associated with the Government of India’s eHospital platform. Developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), the ORS platform facilitates online OPD appointment services for participating Government hospitals and supports organised registration, appointment scheduling and patient-flow management.
The online appointment facility is an important step towards more organised OPD registration and patient-flow management. By enabling patients to obtain appointments online before visiting the hospital, the facility can reduce the need for patients to visit the hospital solely for appointment registration and may help minimise avoidable waiting at registration counters.
How to Book an Appointment
1. Visit: Open the official ORS Portal:
2. Verify: Complete the required patient verification process.
3. Select Hospital: Select G.B. Pant Hospital, ANIIMS, Sri Vijaya Puram.
4. Select Department: Select the required OPD/department.
5. Select Appointment: Choose an available date and appointment slot.
6. Confirm: Confirm the appointment after checking the appointment details.
7. Save: Save or retain the appointment confirmation/SMS for future reference.
8. Visit: On the scheduled date, visit OPD Registration Counter No. 1 / ORS Counter at G.B. Pant Hospital for appointment confirmation and produce the appointment number/confirmation received through the ORS portal/SMS.
