Nancowrie, Sept. 24: Under the Inclusive Education component of Samagra Shiksha, and as per the instructions received from the State Project Officer (SS), Shiksha Sadan, the Block Project Office (SS), Nancowrie Block, organized a programme to celebrate International Sign Language Day at Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSS), Kamorta, on 23rd September, 2026.
The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of sign language and promoting inclusion, communication and equal opportunities for Children with Special Needs (CwSN). As part of the awareness programme, Poster Making and Essay Writing Competitions were conducted for the students. The activities provided an opportunity for students to express their understanding and awareness of sign language, inclusion and the rights of persons with disabilities.
