Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 24: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO), in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, is organising a series of community-focused activities as part of the World Tourism Day 2026 celebrations.
As part of the celebrations, a Blood Donation Camp will be organised on 26 September 2026 at Andaman Club to encourage members of the tourism fraternity and the general public to come forward and contribute towards this important social cause. The camp will provide an opportunity for people to mark World Tourism Day through an act of community service and solidarity.
AATO is also organising an Open Painting Competition on 27 September 2026 at the Andaman Club, Port Blair, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. The competition is open to all and will be held on the theme “Andaman & Nicobar – A Destination for Tourism.” Participants will be encouraged to portray the islands’ natural beauty, culture, heritage, marine life, adventure and tourism experiences through their artwork.
The organisers will provide A3 drawing/chart paper, while participants may use watercolour or poster colour and are required to bring their own painting materials.
AATO invites students, artists, tourism stakeholders and members of the public to participate enthusiastically in both activities and join the World Tourism Day celebrations.
