Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 25: A two-day competency-building workshop for ANKURAN Mentors in Literacy and Numeracy from all 38 Cluster Resource Centres (CRCs) commenced today at the Auditorium of GSSS Mohanpura. The workshop is being organised to strengthen the academic, mentoring and field-level capacities of the 76 ANKURAN Mentors, comprising one Literacy Mentor and one Numeracy Mentor from each of the 38 CRCs across the A&N Islands.
The inaugural session was attended by the ANKURAN Mentors in person, while all CRC Coordinators from the 38 CRCs joined the programme through Video Conferencing, facilitating coordinated participation from across the UT.
Speaking on the occasion, Smt Sangeeta Chand, Director, A&NISCERT, highlighted the significance of Mission ANKURAN in strengthening foundational literacy and numeracy among students and emphasised the crucial role of CRC-level mentors in translating the mission into effective school-level practice.
