Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 12: A five-day capacity building training programme for Identified Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Mentors (Primary School Teachers) under the NIPUN Bharat Mission organized by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Garacharma was inaugurated today in the auditorium of GSSS Girls, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Smt. Archana Singh, Principal, Government Girls’ Senior Secondary School, Sri Vijaya Puram, as the chief guest. In her address, she emphasised the pivotal role of primary school teachers in laying a strong foundation for future learning. She urged the FLN Mentors to extend their support to fellow teachers and work collaboratively towards improving learning outcomes across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
A total of 124 Primary School Teachers (PSTs) from all nine educational zones of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are participating in the programme.
