Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 13: The Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Dr. Dinesh Sharma Ji, today launched the Education Department’s ANKURAN Portal at Lok Niwas, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The initiative has been launched in alignment with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) to strengthen Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills, including reading, writing and mathematics, among students from Classes I to VIII.
The key features of the portal include the timely identification of children requiring additional academic support, dedicated learning sessions of 30 minutes every day, a structured curriculum and regular assessments.
The portal will enable real-time monitoring of each child’s progress, ensuring timely support and intervention wherever necessary. This initiative aims to ensure that every child acquires the essential foundational competencies required for effective learning.
