Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 15: The Chief Pay and Accounts Office (CPAO), Sri Vijaya Puram, organised an awareness session on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at Workplace yesterday at its office premises, in collaboration with PRAYAS Juvenile Aid Centre Society.
The awareness session focused on the key provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, commonly known as the POSH Act. The resource persons elaborated on the meaning and various forms of sexual harassment, the responsibilities of employers and employees, and the role, constitution, and functioning of the Internal Committee (IC) in addressing complaints of sexual harassment at the workplace. The session was conducted by Ms. Marya Sheela, Regional Head & Shri K. Vijay Kumar, Advisor from PRAYAS Juvenile Aid Centre Society.
The programme was interactive in nature, with participants actively engaging in discussions, raising questions, and seeking clarifications on various workplace situations and the practical implementation of the POSH Act.
