Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 23: The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) hereby informs the public that the ABHA App will be discontinued in the production environment from Oct. 31. To ensure uninterrupted access to digital health services under ABDM, citizens are encouraged to transition to Aarogya Setu 2.0, which provides an integrated platform for accessing and managing digital health services.
Aarogya Setu 2.0 serves as an integrated digital platform for citizens to create and manage their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) and access their digital health records. The application provides several digital health services, including secure and consent-based sharing of health information, digitisation and management of medical records, appointment scheduling, teleconsultation, discovery of healthcare facilities, and other health-related features.
The key features of Aarogya Setu 2.0 include the creation and management of ABHA, secure and consent-based sharing of health records, digitisation of physical medical documents, appointment booking, teleconsultation, discovery of healthcare facilities, wellness tracking, and access to other health-related services. These features empower citizens to maintain their health information digitally and access relevant healthcare services more conveniently.
Aarogya Setu 2.0 also supports the Scan and Share facility at participating healthcare facilities. By scanning the QR code displayed at the facility using the application, patients can share their ABHA details, with their consent, for faster Outpatient Department (OPD) registration. This digital facility helps streamline registration, reduce waiting time, improve patient flow, and strengthen queue management in hospitals and other participating healthcare institutions.
All citizens are encouraged to download and use Aarogya Setu 2.0 well in advance to ensure continued access to ABDM-enabled digital health services, including ABHA creation and management and access to digital health records. This transition will facilitate the convenient and secure use of digital health services while contributing towards strengthening the Island’s digital health ecosystem.
