Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 17: A Marathon on HIV/ AIDS Awareness was conducted today from the historic National Memorial Cellular Jail to Flag Point. The event was jointly conducted by Red Ribbon Club of ANM Training School and School of Nursing in association with Andaman Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS). The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Nursing students and ANM students along with faculty of both the Institutions, carrying the message of ‘Awareness, Prevention, & Care’ in the fight against HIV/ AIDS.
The Marathon was flagged off by Dr.Subroto Saha, Project Director, ANACS from Cellular Jail. The event concluded with a pledge by participants to spread awareness and contribute towards building an HIV free society in the Islands.
