Vijaya Puram, Oct. 6: A meeting under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration was held today to review the status of recovery of loan & advances by the Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank Ltd. During the meeting, the Vice Chairman and the MD of the Bank informed that an amount of Rs. 27.16 Crores has already been recovered against the Non-Performing Assets (NPA) accounts since April 2025.
The Chief Secretary advised the Bank to further intensify their loan recovery efforts from the NPA account holders to bring down the NPA percentage within the prescribed norms.
