Department of Official Language Organised Prize Distribution Ceremony of Hindi Fortnight 2025

Vijaya Puram, Oct. 6: The Prize Distribution ceremony of Hindi Fortnight-2025 was organized by the Department of Official Language of Andaman and Nicobar Administration on 06.10.2025 at 11.00 am in the Auditorium of Tagore Government College of Education, Sri Vijaya Puram. On this occasion, Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration was the chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration urged all students to strive for proficiency not only in Hindi but also in their respective mother tongues. He remarked that once we achieve command over our mother tongues, our understanding of Hindi will naturally deepen, and Hindi will continue to hold the honour of being the most popular link language of the nation. He also appealed to all officers and employees to maximize the use of Hindi in their day-to-day official work. On this occasion, he gave away the prizes to the winners of various competitions held during Hindi Fortnight–2025.

On this occasion, Smt. Richa, Secretary (Official Language), Andaman and Nicobar Administration welcomed the gathering and said that the purpose of celebrating Hindi Fortnight is to uphold the dignity accorded to Hindi as the Official Language in the Constitution and to raise public awareness about it, and to encourage the use of Hindi in official work. She further emphasized that, with the help of modern technological advancements, it has now become easier to work efficiently in Hindi.

In the beginning, Shri Rajendra Indwar, Deputy Secretary (Official Language), Andaman and Nicobar Administration welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion and presented a detailed report on Hindi Pakhwada-2025 and he also proposed the vote of thanks at the end.

Apart from the officers and employees of Andaman and Nicobar Administration, students of Schools, Colleges, Teachers and Parents were also participated in this programme.
