Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 15: As part of the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah celebrations, a vibrant Recipe Competition was organized yesterday at the CMTC Building, Ferrargunj which was aimed to promote the importance of healthy and nutritious food, especially those prepared using millets, locally grown farm produce, and traditional ingredients. A total of 12 Village Organizations (VOs) from 12 Panchayats enthusiastically participated, showcasing a variety of innovative and nutritious dishes. The competition began with the inaugural address by BDO Smt. Lalita Tigga, who highlighted the significance of incorporating millets and natural foods into daily diets as part of the national “Poshan Abhiyaan” initiative. Sansaar, VO, Mithakhari stood first, Aadarsh VO, Ferrargunj got second and Rosery VO, Humfrygunj and Nayeem Kiran VO, Guptapara were adjudged joint winners for third prize.
