Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 2: To promote the adoption of digital health services under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), the Programme Management Unit (PMU), ABDM has conducted various awareness campaigns across all the three districts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The campaigns aim to inform and empower citizens about the benefits of the digital health ecosystem, with a special focus on creating Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA), Scan & Share and linking personal health records for seamless access to healthcare services.
The PMU is also actively organizing card generation drives in urban as well as remote rural areas, including educational institutions, Gram Panchayats, hospitals, and other public venues. The initiative involves direct engagement with the community through face-to-face interactions, on-the-spot creation of Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA), and personalized assistance to help citizens understand the features and benefits of digital health IDs.
In addition, the PMU has initiated the pamphlets distribution at high-footfall locations such as bus terminals and ship ticket counters in all the three districts, to raise awareness about the usage of Scan and Share feature under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) for OPD registration, along with listing the details of hospitals on the Pamphlets, where the said feature can be utilized by general public.
This approach is expected to significantly boost public participation in utilizing the Scan and Share feature at ABDM enabled hospitals across the UT.
