
Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 13: An awareness programme on substance abuse was organized by the Directorate of Social Welfare under the campaign ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat, Khushaal Bharat’ at ANCOL. The programme was attended by students from various undergraduate departments. The event aimed to sensitize students about the harmful effects of alcohol and drug abuse while promoting collective efforts towards building a healthy, addiction-free society.
The resource person from the Anti-Narcotics Unit delivered a Power Point presentation highlighting the harmful effects of alcohol and drugs on health, family, and society. The Project Coordinator (NAPDDR) encouraged the students to scan the QR code, take the NMBA pledge, and share it with their peer groups. The speakers highlighted the objectives of NAPDDR and the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), emphasizing the importance of community participation, youth engagement, and inter-departmental coordination in preventing substance abuse.
