
Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 18: The District Administration, South Andaman, conducted a training-cum-refresher programme on 17.11.2025 on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll for the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil at the DBRAIT Auditorium, Dollygunj.
session was presided over by Shri Arjun Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman), in the presence of Shri Kamaleshwar Rao, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (South Andaman), Ms. Priyanka Kumari, DANICS, Additional District Magistrate (South Andaman), and Ms. Tripti, IAS (P), Assistant Commissioner (UT).
Addressing the BLOs and BLO Supervisors, the Deputy Commissioner elaborated on the significance and methodology of the Special Intensive Revision, emphasising strict compliance with the timelines prescribed by the Election Commission of India. He further directed the field functionaries to ensure that no eligible voter is left out during the enumeration process. The overall progress of the SIR exercise was also reviewed during the programme.
The event provided an interactive platform for the BLOs to share the challenges encountered during the door-to-door verification of electors. Their concerns were duly noted for timely redressal to ensure a smooth and error-free revision process.
The District Administration reaffirmed its commitment to conducting the Special Intensive Revision effectively and ensuring an accurate and inclusive electoral roll for the upcoming electoral processes.
