Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 11: The Department of Fisheries, in association with the Information, Publicity & Tourism (IP&T) Department, A&N Administration, is organising the “Island Seafood Festival – 2026” on 15th & 16th January 2026 at the Marina Park Stretch Road, Sri Vijaya Puram. The festival will organized with financial support from the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Hyderabad. The festival will have a special focus on Tuna Cluster Development in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
As part of the Island Seafood Festival, the Department of Fisheries invites applications for the “Chef Competition” in men & women category. Interested participants may prepare seafood cuisine at home and showcase their island seafood delicacies on 15th January 2026 at the specifically allotted space at the festival venue. The dishes will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on preparation and presentation, and winners will be felicitated during the event.
