Rangat, Jan 13: Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, inaugurated a newly constructed blacktop road at Ward No. 2, Parnasala, Rangat Tehsil in the presence of Assistant Commissioner Rangat, PRI Members and general public on 12.01.2026. The road, measuring about 700 metres, has been constructed at a cost of ₹86 lakh from Gram Panchayat funds and was inaugurated on 12.01.2026.
The Hon’ble MP stated that the project was completed with his support and the dedicated efforts of the Pradhan, Shri Bala Murugan, along with the members of the Gram Panchayat. He highlighted that this road fulfills a long-pending demand of the 1954 settlers, who had been facing continuous hardship due to the absence of proper pucca road connectivity.
Shri Bishnu Pada Ray expressed his sincere appreciation to the Gram Panchayat, under the leadership of its Pradhan and members, for addressing this long-standing demand of the settlers and improving basic infrastructure in the area. He noted that the new road will greatly ease transportation and improve the quality of life of the local residents.
