Mayabunder, Jan. 15: A Block Level Training Programme on ‘Strengthening Local Governance: Training of Elected Representatives on the Principles and Objectives of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs)’ (Theme–8) was conducted under the aegis of CD Block Mayabunder at the Panchayat Community Hall, Gram Panchayat Pokadera.
Shri C. H. Kiran Kumar, Domain Expert – IT as Resource Person provided an overview of various Government schemes and elaborated on the constitutional mandate, objectives, and functioning of Panchayati Raj Institutions. A chart-based activity was conducted to encourage active participation and practical understanding among PRI members.
In her address, Ms. Kiranmayee Reguri, Block Programme Manager (BPM) highlighted the importance of strong local governance and the vital role of elected representatives in upholding democratic values at the grassroots level.
