Baratang, Jan 15: On 13.01.2026, as part of Police Raising Week celebrations, Police Station Baratang organized a Beach Volleyball Tournament at Baludera Beach, Baratang, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from six teams.
The tournament was conducted with the objective of promoting physical fitness, team spirit, and self-confidence among participants, while strengthening police–community relations. The programme commenced with a brief address highlighting the significance of Police Raising Week and the values of unity, discipline, and national integration.
After a series of competitive matches, Krishna Nagar Brothers emerged as the Winners, while Oralkatcha Boys-A secured the Runner-up position. Prizes were awarded to the winning and runner-up teams at the conclusion of the event.
The gathering was also sensitized on the New Justice Laws with the aim of enhancing public awareness about the provisions of the new justice laws in simple and lucid terms. The event concluded successfully with active public participation, reinforcing community bonding and public awareness.
