
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 15: As part of the ongoing Special National Integration Camp (SNIC), NCC cadets from across India visited Indian Navy warship INS Kora and interacted with Navy Component Commander and in the presence of Commanding Officer NCC Army Unit Col KY Singh and Commanding Officer (Naval Unit) Lt Cdr Reyaz Farooq, explained the critical role played by such platforms in ensuring maritime security, coastal surveillance, and national defence.
The cadets keenly observed various onboard systems and interacted with naval personnel, which greatly enhanced their understanding of naval operations with personnel. Thereafter, the cadets visited MARCOS base at Jodakilan. During the MARCOS interaction, cadets gained insight into the training, discipline, and operational responsibilities of the special forces. The visit also highlighted the roles of the Army, Navy, and Air Force and the importance of joint operations, inspiring cadets to consider careers in the armed forces.
