Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 11: Crores of workers in the organized and unorganized sectors across the country will observe All India General Strike on 12th February, 2026 (Thursday) at the call given by Joint Platform of Central Trade Unions and organisations of employees to protest against imposing four labour codes in the country which are designed to suit the interests of corporates at the cost of workers and against various anti-working class policies of the Modi government.
In Andaman & Nicobar Islands, union affiliated to CITU will organize various programmes in support of the All India General Strike. The main programme will be held at Tiranga Park, Port Blair. Leaders of CITU and various unions will sit on mass dharna from 3.30 p.m. onwards while hundreds of workers will join the mass dharna from 4.30 p.m onwards, which will be followed by a public meeting at the same place.
Procession, mass dharna, mass demonstration, etc. will be conducted all the three districts in the union territory.
