Sri Vijaya Puram, March 8: The Road Construction Division (RCD), APWD, Wimberlygunj organized a Water Concert programme at the Ferrargunj School Ground with the primary objective of creating awareness among the general public about Zero Leakage and Water Conservation.
The programme commenced with a briefing by Shri Ali Mumtaz, Executive Engineer, who highlighted the importance of conserving water and emphasized the need for the judicious use of available water resources. He also sensitized the gathering about the growing need to prevent wastage of water and to ensure prompt reporting of leakages in water supply systems.
To reinforce the theme of the event, students from Marthoma School and MES School presented meaningful skits and dramas focusing on water conservation and the importance of maintaining zero leakage in water supply systems. Their performances effectively conveyed the message of responsible water usage and the need for collective efforts in safeguarding this precious resource.
The programme was further enlivened by a musical night, which added colour and enthusiasm to the event and helped in attracting the attention of the audience while spreading the message of water conservation in an engaging manner.
During the programme, the Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members present on the occasion shared their valuable thoughts on the importance of water conservation and stressed the need to prevent water leakages at all levels. They also appreciated the efforts of Team RCD for organizing such an effective awareness programme aimed at educating the public.
The programme was graced by Superintending Engineer, Er. U.K. Singh, Pradhan, Ferrargunj, Shri Sunil, Pradhan, Mithakhari, Shri Shafique, Zilla Parishad Member, Ferrargunj, Shri Basheer, and Zilla Parishad Member, Brindaban, Shri Aziz.
