Public Grievances Hearing Camp Organised at Sippighat

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 8: A Public Grievances Hearing Camp was organized today in the Community Hall of Sippighat, Gram Panchayat for the residents of Sippighat and Calicut Gram Panchayat. The camp was conducted in the presence of the Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray and the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Ms. Purva Garg, IAS, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, Shri Prakash Adhikari, Chief Engineer, APWD and Pradhan of Calicut and Sippighat along with PRI Members. The camp provided an opportunity for the local residents to directly place their grievances and concerns before the Administration.

Prior to the commencement of the camp, the Deputy Commissioner visited the PM SHRI School, Anganwadi Centre, Health Sub-Centre and the ongoing water supply project of Sippighat Gram Panchayat to review their functioning and progress.

Representatives from various departments were present during the grievances camp. The issues raised by the villagers were heard and addressed on the spot. The Deputy Commissioner issued necessary directions to the concerned departments to resolve the grievances on priority and ensure timely action.

The camp witnessed active participation from the villagers and served as an important platform for strengthening communication between the administration and the public

Earlier in the morning, from 7 AM to 8 AM, a Yoga programme was organized by the District Health Society at the same venue to promote health and wellness among the community. The programme witnessed good participation from villagers, school children and local representatives. The Deputy Commissioner, the Pradhan and students also participated in the Yoga session.
