Mayabunder, March 8: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the District Administration, North & Middle Andaman and the One Stop Centre (OSC), N&MA organized various sports events in collaboration with the Education Department, DEO Mayabunder Division, for school-level girls and women participants today at the Indoor Stadium, Netaji Sports Complex, Mayabunder.
Various indoor sports competitions such as Badminton, Carrom, Table Tennis, Chess, and Passing the Ball were conducted during the programme. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from schoolgirls and women from the area. The programme aimed to encourage women’s participation in sports and to promote awareness on women’s empowerment and well-being.
During the programme, Smti. Permila Devi, Assistant Supervisor (Sports), Smti. J. Divya, Central Administrator, One Stop Centre N&MA, Smti. Hemlata, Project Coordinator, CHL, and Smti. Swapna, Case Worker, OSC N&MA, graced the occasion, encouraged the participants, and distributed prizes to the winners.
At the end of the programme, Smti. J. Divya, Central Administrator, One Stop Centre N&MA, delivered the vote of thanks.
