Sri Vijaya Puram, May 24: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) successfully concluded its two-day FAM Tour to Swaraj Dweep organised on 23rd and 24th May 2026 with participation of around 60 travel agents along with media representatives and digital creators.
The FAM Tour was organised with the objective of promoting tourism in the Andaman Islands during the monsoon season and showcasing the tourism potential, hospitality infrastructure and tourism experiences available at Swaraj Dweep.
During the tour, delegates interacted with tourism stakeholders and explored various tourism properties and experiences across the island. The participating members and media representatives appreciated the natural beauty, tourism infrastructure and hospitality facilities available at Swaraj Dweep.
AATO President Shri M. Vinod highlighted the importance of conducting such familiarisation tours for strengthening tourism promotion, stakeholder coordination and showcasing the tourism potential of the islands during the monsoon season.
General Secretary Saikat Biswas expressed gratitude to all Government Departments, PRI Members, tourism stakeholders, hospitality partners, ferry operators, local associations and officials for their support and cooperation in making the FAM Tour successful.
The association reaffirmed its commitment towards promoting tourism and strengthening tourism activities across the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
