
Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 7: The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS), A&N Administration, conducted a one-day training program on duck farming for rural women in Manglutan Panchayat today, aimed at empowering participants with scientific techniques and practical skills to enhance their livelihoods through sustainable poultry farming.
The comprehensive program covered key aspects of duck farming, including breeding, nutrition, health management, and farm maintenance. Participants received hands-on training to manage duck farms efficiently, ensuring optimal productivity and profitability. Training materials and pamphlets were provided as valuable resources for future reference. All participants were registered and awarded certificates upon completion, recognizing their acquired expertise.
The program was graced by Shri Durlabh Das, Panchayat Pradhan, who addressed the participants, highlighting duck farming as a viable livelihood option for rural women. He encouraged them to apply the skills and knowledge gained to improve their economic prospects and contribute to community development. The Senior Veterinary Officer of the Animal Husbandry Training Institute (AHTI) also spoke, emphasizing the benefits of adopting scientific techniques and best practices to enhance duck farm productivity and support economic growth.
