A&N Administration’s First Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance Flagged Off from National Memorial Cellular Jail

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 17: The A&N Administration’s first Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance was formally flagged off by the Secretary (Health), Ms. Richa, from the National Memorial Cellular Jail, marking a major milestone in strengthening critical care transport services in the Islands.

The ALS Ambulance has been allotted to G B Pant Hospital which will ensure safe and efficient transfer of critically ill patients. It will primarily be deployed for the transportation of seriously ill patients to the Airport for immediate medical evacuation to mainland Hospitals.

The introduction of this new ALS ambulance is expected to greatly benefit the public by improving response time, ensuring continuity of critical care during transit.

The Health Department expressed its gratitude to the A&N Administration for prioritizing healthcare infrastructure and reaffirmed its dedication to providing uninterrupted emergency support to all sections of the community.
