A&N AIDS Control Society Conducts Two-Day Data Management Training

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 30: Two days Data Management Training Programme organized by A&N AIDS Control Society (ANACS) on 28th and 29th January, 2026 at the Conference Hall, Dept. Of Industries, Middle Point, Sri Vijaya Puram. It was attended by the Counsellors/Lab. Technicians/Technical Officer/Staff Nurse from ICTC/DSRC/Blood Bank/SRL and FI-ART Centre. Approximately 30 participants benefitted from this training programme which focused on strengthening participant’s data management and data sharing skills as per NACP guidelines to enhance service delivery and programme efficiency.

Dr. Subrata Saha, Project Director, ANACS, in his keynote address, briefed the participants on the objectives of the training and highlighted that the programme focused on strengthening participant’s data management and data sharing skills to improve the accuracy in reporting, and ensuring compliance with NACP guidelines for effective service delivery. 

Earlier, Shri Ganesh Debnath, Assistant Director (SI), Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society, formally welcomed the participants.

The objective of the training was to enhance the technical skills of participants in managing data related to HIV testing, counselling services, reporting, and record maintenance, in accordance with NACP guidelines.

The training session included Data management and sharing Guidelines at NACO & SACS level, Basic of HIV and STI, TI Working Module, Rights of LGBTQ communities, Counselling, Risk Assessment and index testing at ICTC Level, The HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Control) Act 2017, Commodity receive and distribution, Data Quality assurance, Data Analysis and Gap between Physical data and SOCH portal data, Role and responsibilities of Data Management Committee (DMC), NACO Financial guidelines for NACP facilities.

The resource persons included Dr. Jahanara Yasmeen, DD (MS & IEC), Shri Vivekanand Singh, DD (BSD), Shri Arup Kumar Roy, DD (Prevention), Shri. Arun Kumar Halder, AD (Finance), Dr. P.K. Sikdar, AD (LSD), Shri Senthil Nathan, AD (CST), Shri Ganesh Debnath, AD (SI) and from ANACS.

The Programme was concluded by the distribution of certificates to the participants followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Vivekanand Singh, DD (BSD) from ANACS.
