
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 7: The Andaman & Nicobar Police launched a Beach Volleyball Tournament at Corbyn’s Cove Beach today, promoting physical fitness, discipline, and community engagement. The event was inaugurated by Smti Niyati Mittal Kashyap, Superintendent of Police (APU), in the presence of police officers and local residents.
The tournament, part of the Police’s community outreach initiatives, aims to encourage sportsmanship, youth participation, and positive engagement between the Police and the public. 16 teams are competing in a knockout format, with winners and runners-up to be awarded prizes and medals. Participation is open to all with no entry fee, fostering wider community involvement.
The opening day witnessed enthusiastic participation and lively matches, reflecting the community’s excitement and the spirit of fair play. The Andaman & Nicobar Police continue to promote sports, health, and camaraderie, with the tournament set to continue over the coming days.
