Sri Vijaya Puram, July 13: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) successfully conducted the Under-11 Open and Girls Selection Trials on Sunday, 12th July 2026, at the ANCA Chess Centre, Dairy Farm, Sri Vijaya Puram, to select players for the 39th National Under-11 Chess Championship-2026, scheduled to be held at Mangaluru, Karnataka, from 2nd to 8th August 2026.
After keenly contested rounds, the final standings are as follows:
Under-11 Open

Under-11 Girls
1. Disha Meenakshi G
2. Aarohi T
3. Charvi D

As per the selection criteria, the top two players in the Open category and the top two players in the Girls category have earned the opportunity to represent the Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the National Championship under the Normal Entry quota, subject to submission of their willingness to participate.

In case any of the selected players are unable or unwilling to participate, the opportunity for Normal Entry shall be offered to the next eligible player in the final standings in the respective category.
