Sri Vijaya Puram, May 13: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) successfully conducted the Under-9 -selection trials for the 38th National Under-9 Chess Championship 2025 at the ANCA Chess Centre, Dairy Farm, on 10th and 11th May 2025. A total of 47 young and enthusiastic chess players participated in the Selection trials.
Based on their performance and final standings, two players each from the Boys and Girls categories have been selected to represent the Andaman and Nicobar Islands at the 38th National Under-9 Chess Championship 2025, scheduled to be held in Haryana in June
Boys: Saw Jinson Samuel – First, Vignesh B – Second, Eshaan S – Standby
Girls: Charvi D – First, Aarohi T – Second, Ekshita Biswas – Standby
The selected players are requested to submit their consent letters for participation by 20th May 2025. Consent letters can be sent via WhatsApp to 9434293379 or submitted in person at the ANCA Office, Dairy Farm. Failure to submit the consent letter by the deadline will result in the next eligible player from the final standings being considered for selection.
