Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 23: Continuing the welfare-oriented measure of career progression under special grade initiative, on 23rd February 2026, the Andaman & Nicobar Police granted Special Grade designation to an additional 24 Head Constables as Assistant Sub-Inspector (Special Grade) as an interim measure to motivate personnel and improve service conditions. This step reinforced the organisation’s sustained focus on recognising experience and strengthening morale within the Police force.
