
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 3: The President of the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC), Shri Rangalal Halder, has submitted a representation to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, seeking immediate intervention on several public grievances and developmental issues affecting the residents of Little Andaman.
During his recent visit to Hut Bay and adjoining areas, Shri Halder interacted with local residents and noted concerns regarding the lack of affordable driving licence training facilities for job aspirants, the poor condition of tsunami shelters and approach roads, the discontinuation of surfing activities for local youths, and the prolonged closure of the quarry, which has adversely affected housing and infrastructure development in the region.
He also urged the Administration to revive and strengthen MGNREGA works in Little Andaman to provide employment opportunities to local residents.
Shri. Halder further urged the Administration to take necessary action to address these genuine concerns and ensure the welfare and development of the people of Little Andaman.
