Deepawali is a festival of light, joy, and happiness. However, this joyous occasion is not always celebrated with due caution and, at times, turns into a festival of noise and fire hazards. It is, therefore, essential to celebrate this festival responsibly, taking all necessary precautions to minimise pollution, fire hazards, and accidents.
I appeal to everyone to avoid bursting firecrackers, especially in prohibited zones such as hospitals, educational institutions, places of worship, petrol pumps, and on roads. Firecrackers should be burst only between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Your cooperation will go a long way in ensuring that fellow citizens can also celebrate this festival in an atmosphere of joy, peace, and happiness.
Celebrate the festival of light in its true spirit.
I wish you all a very HAPPY & PROSPEROUS DEEPAWALI
