Sri Vijaya Puram, May 27: The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, has invited online applications/nominations for the National Awards for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, 2026. Eligible individuals, NGOs, institutions, employers, rehabilitation professionals, researchers, innovators and other stakeholders in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are encouraged to apply or nominate deserving candidates under the relevant award categories.
The National Awards recognize outstanding achievements of Persons with Disabilities and significant contributions made by individuals and organizations towards their empowerment and inclusion. The portal for online nominations/applications is open and will remain open up to 31st July, 2026. Applications/Nominations are to be submitted online through the Rashtriya Puraskar Portal.
