Sri Vijaya Puram, July 17: The Directorate of Art & Culture, A&N Administration, in association with Utkal Samaj, Sri Vijaya Puram, is organizing a one-day workshop on the “Basic Concepts & Practices of Odissi Dance” on 19th July, 2026 from 9 am to 6 PM at Chinmaya Mission, Police Line. The workshop aims to promote awareness and appreciation of India’s classical performing arts by introducing participants to the fundamental concepts, techniques, aesthetics and expressive elements of Odissi dance.
The workshop is open to students, aspiring artists, dancers, academicians, members of cultural organizations and all individuals interested in classical dance and Indian culture. Interested students and members of the public are encouraged to actively participate in the workshop and make the best use of this opportunity to deepen their understanding of one of India’s most celebrated classical dance forms.
