AYUSH Conducts Regular Yoga Classes to Promote Physical, Mental and Emotional Well-being Among General Public

Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 4: The AYUSH Wing under the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), is conducting regular Yoga classes at various healthcare institutions and community locations across A&N Islands to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being among the general public. The details of the ongoing Yoga sessions are as follows:

1. Sub District Hospital, Diglipur, North Andaman. (Yoga Hall) – Monday to Friday: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

2. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Hospital, Mayabunder, North & Middle Andaman. (Yoga Hall) – Monday to Friday: 5:30 AM – 6:30 AM

3. Bishop John Richardson Hospital (BJR), Perka, Car Nicobar. (Yoga Hall) – Monday to Saturday: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

4. Primary Health Centre, Campbell Bay – Monday to Friday: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM

5. Community Hall, Onge Tikrey, Little Andaman – Monday to Saturday: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

6. Health & Wellness Centre, Swaraj Dweep. Monday to Friday: 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM & 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM

7. AYUSH Hospital, Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram. (Yoga Hall) – Monday to Saturday: 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM & 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

8. Marina Park, Sri Vijaya Puram (Rajya Sthapana Smarak) – Daily – 5:30 AM – 6:30 AM (Except Wednesday)

These regular yoga sessions are aimed at encouraging healthy lifestyle practices, improving physical fitness, reducing stress, and enhancing overall quality of life. The classes are open to all members of the public, irrespective of age and fitness level.

The Directorate of Health Services has invited residents across the islands to actively participate in these sessions and experience the benefits of yoga for holistic health and well-being.
