Ayushman Arogya Shivir Held at Tribal Community Hall, Rajiv Nagar

Campbell Bay, May 4: Ayushman Arogya Shivir with a handheld X-ray screening facility was conducted at the Tribal Community Hall, Rajiv Nagar, Campbell Bay today. The programme was graced by Shri Shivam Tashi Dhawa, Assistant Commissioner, Campbell Bay, and Shri Barnabas Manju, Chairman, CTC, Campbell Bay as the chief guests, along with village Captains.

The event was organized under the supervision of Dr. Meena Nasir, Medical Officer (I/C). The health team, including Dr. Y. Rajeshwari, Medical Officer (Ayurveda), along with LHV, Health Educator, ANMs, ASHAs, and Anganwadi workers, actively contributed to the smooth conduct of the Ayushman Arogya Shivir held today under the 100 Days Campaign of TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

A team from Car Nicobar, comprising Shri Ramesh Rao, District Programme Coordinator, and Shri S. Loknathan, PMDT Coordinator, operated the handheld X-ray unit and conducted screening of the vulnerable population in Campbell Bay block. A total of 64 X-ray screenings were conducted during the day.

As part of the 100 Days Campaign of TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, outreach screening will further be extended to remote areas including Afra Bay, Makachua, Pilloulou, and Pulo Panja, ensuring early detection and effective control of tuberculosis in hard-to-reach communities.

These initiatives reflect the continued commitment of the National TB Elimination Programme towards strengthening TB control activities, promoting early diagnosis, and contributing to the national goal of a TB-free India.
