Sri Vijaya Puram, May 11: A mandala art workshop was hosted at Bageecha today in association with Artist Mahima Gopalka, Mandala Artist. The workshop was a part of the Mother’s Day celebration in which mothers and daughters participated to learn, create an art and dedicate it to their mothers.
At the outset, Mahima Gopalka briefed the participants about the art form, which is more of a meditative art that keeps one focussed throughout. There are different forms of Mandala Art, which ranges from simple designs to much complicated and difficult ones. At the workshop today, the participants were taught the beginners design, which was enthusiastically received by the participants.
The two-hour workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Denis Giles, Editor, Andaman Chronicle who has initiated the Bageecha platform to conduct meaningful activities to benefit the society.
