Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 4: During his recent visit to G.B. Pant Hospital, the Hon’ble Lt. Governor took note of the difficulties faced by patients and their attendants due to inadequate seating facilities. He directed the hospital authorities to ensure proper seating arrangements in the required areas, particularly in the Surgical Ward and near the ICU, for the convenience and comfort of patients and their attendants.
In compliance with these directions, the District Administration, through the Rogi Kalyan Samiti, G.B. Pant Hospital under the National Health Mission (NHM), has taken prompt action to strengthen basic patient amenities at the hospital.
Accordingly, additional chairs have been placed at the required locations, including the Surgical Ward and areas near the ICU, to facilitate patients and attendants who have to wait for medical consultations, treatment and other hospital services.
The provision of these additional seating facilities is aimed at making the hospital environment more comfortable and patient-friendly, particularly for attendants accompanying patients during periods of waiting.
The prompt implementation of the Hon’ble Lt. Governor’s directions underscores the Administration’s continued focus on patient convenience, better hospital amenities and responsive public healthcare services at G.B. Pant Hospital.
