Sri Vijaya Puram, July 14: The State President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shri Anil Tiwari, accompanied by District President South Andaman Shri Mohan Halder and Shri Selva Kumar, visited Shaheed Dweep on July 11 to interact with grassroots BJP karyakartas. The delegation was accorded a warm and enthusiastic welcome by party workers at Shaheed Dweep jetty.
During his address at the BJP office, Shri Anil Tiwari emphasized the importance of unity and dedication among party workers. He called upon all members to work tirelessly for the welfare and upliftment of the backward and underprivileged citizens of Shaheed Dweep.
In a significant political development, six Congress workers, including a serving ward member, joined the BJP during the visit. The new entrants are: Tiru Selvam – Ward Member, Neil Kendra Panchayat, Dasharath Debnath, Dr. Bhagirath Debnath, Govind Mallick and Narayan Das, Bidhan Biswas
Shri Anil Tiwari personally welcomed the new members into the BJP family and expressed confidence that their joining will further strengthen the party at the grassroots level in Shaheed Dweep.
The visit marked a renewed commitment by BJP leadership to engage closely with local karyakartas and build a stronger, more inclusive political presence in the region.
