Block Farmers Advisory Committee Meeting Conducted at Zonal Agriculture Office, Diglipur

Diglipur, Oct. 19: The Block Farmers Advisory Committee (BFAC) meeting under the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Department of Agriculture was conducted yesterday by the Zonal Agriculture Office, Diglipur in the conference hall of the GPOA Building, Diglipur. Chairman of the Committee, Shri Animesh Halder, reviewed the progress of activities undertaken under ATMA. He appreciated the effective implementation of training programmes and demonstrations, which have significantly benefitted farmers in the block.

Smti Arti Singh, Assistant Director (Agriculture), Diglipur, provided a detailed overview of various departmental schemes and the subsidies available. She urged all members and the Farmer Friends to actively disseminate this information to farmers in their respective villages.

Shri Kamal Haldar, President, Diglipur Farmer Union, appreciated the initiatives of the Agriculture Department and encouraged farmers to proactively avail the inputs and planting materials made available.

Dr. T.P. Swapna, Senior Veterinary Officer, briefed the participants on the veterinary facilities and services being provided in the block. Shri Ujjwal Dhali, Assistant Fisheries Development Officer, detailed the schemes available under the Fisheries Department for the benefit of farmers and fishermen.
