
Wimberlygunj, July 23: The Block Project Office (BPO), Wimberlygunj, under Samagra Shiksha organized an Assessment Camp for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) at GSSS Wimberlygunj and GMSSS Ferrargunj. A total of 40 CwSN students from Government and Private schools across Wimberlygunj zone participated in the camp. Inaugurating the camp as the chief guest, Smt. Sulekha, Principal, GSSS Mannarghat encouraged the parents to actively support their children throughout the assessment process. The camp was conducted by the ALIMCO assessment team, Dr. Abbhishek and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Nargis, PHC Wimberlygunj, the medical team from GB Pant Hospital, UDID Coordinator from DSW and the Block Project Office, Wimberlygunj.
The Assessment Camp marks another significant initiative of Samagra Shiksha towards strengthening inclusive education in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. By ensuring timely assessment and access to appropriate assistive devices, the programme aims to empower Children with Special Needs, enabling them to participate more effectively in school and lead independent, confident, and dignified lives.
