Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 8: The CBSE, New Delhi has started the online process of submission of application forms for the CBSE Examination Class X (SSE) / Class XII (SSCE) which is scheduled to be held in February/ March/April-2026 for Private Candidates along with the Board’s Main Examination 2026. The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear at the Board’s main Examination 2026 as a Private Candidates-
• Students of the session 2025-26 who have been declared Essential Repeat in the result of 2026 Examination.
• Students of the session 2025-26 who have been placed in Compartment in Board’s Main Examination and Supplementary Examination 2026 (Second Chance Compartment Candidates).
• Students who have been declared Fail/Essential Repeat in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.
• Passed out candidates of 2025-26 who wish to appear for improving their performance in one or more subjects.
The Online submission of forms of above categories has started from today. Private candidates of A&N Islands intending to appear in the CBSE Class X and XII Board Exams have been advised to submit their examination forms online latest by Oct. 23, 2026 (without late fee).
The candidates can apply through the “Vyaktigat Pariksharthi” portal on the CBSE Website by using link https://cbse.gov.in/newsite/private/index.html

Private candidates of A&N Islands have been advised to carefully read all the instructions provided on the CBSE website before applying and keep all necessary documents ready before starting the online process.
