Chess Training Programme Launched at GMS Manglutan

Manglutan, Aug 8: The Department of Education, A&N Administration, today launched a three-day chess training programme at GMS Manglutan for the students under CRC Manglutan. Altogether Fifty enthusiastic students (boys and girls) of GMS Manglutan took part in the first day’s training, held at the school premises.

The programme was inaugurated by Smti. R. Sulochana, Headmistress (Middle), GMS Manglutan. Chess is not merely a game but a powerful tool for enhancing concentration, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities—skills that contribute significantly to academic success, she emphasized.

The initiative seeks to introduce the chess game to more students, enabling them to gain its cognitive and educational benefits and also to sharpen their skills in the chess game. On August 11, the training will be extended to students of GMS Humphreygunj, enabling more students in the locality to be benefitted from the programme.
