
Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 3: The Clinical Research Unit (Homoeopathy), Sri Vijaya Puram, under the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, organized a one-day scientific event titled the ‘National Homoeopathic Pharmacovigilance Programme 2025’ on Oct. 27. The theme, ‘From Awareness to Action – One Click Secures Your Safety,’ underscored the importance of strengthening pharmacovigilance practices within the AYUSH system. The programme aimed to enhance awareness among practitioners across the islands by providing the latest updates in pharmacovigilance and imparting practical training on reporting through the AYUSH Suraksha Portal.
Dr. Kalyan P. Kadhbane, Deputy Director (AYUSH) & Coordinator for PV-Ayu. Drugs, graced the occasion as chief guest while Dr. Saroj Kumar Debnath, Research Officer (Ayu.), Scientist-4, Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Sri Vijaya Puram, were the guests of honour. Dr. Santi Adhikary, Research Officer (H), Scientist-1, and Officer In-Charge, delivered the welcome address.
The scientific sessions featured insightful deliberations by eminent speakers — Dr. Swapan Paul, Associate Professor & Coordinator, National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), Kolkata; Dr. Suniti Chugh, Research Officer (Homoeopathy), Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), Headquarters, New Delhi; and Dr. Namita Gopal, Junior Research Fellow, (H.), Pharmacovigilance Program, Sri Vijaya Puram.
A pilot KAP survey among the offline attending doctors were also conducted. The programme witnessed the participation of 56 medical officers and private practitioners, both online and offline, and concluded with a vote of thanks and certificate distribution ceremony.
