
Hutbay, June 17: A comprehensive basic life-saving training and awareness programme was successfully organized at Ramkrishna Pur, Little Andaman with the objective of enhancing public awareness on emergency response, health issues, safety measures, and social well-being. The programme witnessed the gracious presence of Pradhan, Ramkrishna Pur. The programme covered important life-saving topics including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid Techniques, management of bleeding, fractures, burns, choking, drowning, snake bites, unconsciousness, and other common emergency situations. The training was conducted by officials from the Health Department, who provided practical guidance and explained immediate response measures that can help save lives before professional medical assistance arrives.
As part of the awareness campaign, sessions were also conducted under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging healthy lifestyles among the community. Additionally, awareness was created regarding the impact of online gaming on youth, focusing on responsible digital behaviour and balanced use of technology.
